Meet India Supera: Founder of the Feathered Pipe Ranch in Montana

In this video (click here for video), India Supera is speaking seated in front of the fireplace in the wonderful meeting room at Feathered Pipe Ranch outside of Helena, Montana, up in the hills. The building is three stories in height with windows opening onto the lawn and lake. Many times over many years, I was in this same place where she was seated and in the circle of women participants. Such a pleasure it is to be the listener, with time to take in her words and feelings.

India took part in my last Feathered Pipe event, seated to my right, with Monika Wikman co-leader on my left, I recall it was the summer before the pandemic began (2020). India died a year or so later. This an hour session—to all who have sat in that room, imagine being there and listening to India speak from her heart and soul. Sit comfortably as if you would have been there!

Emptying Bookcases & a Sense of Awe

When I got ready to move out of my office because I no longer needed it, I emptied my tall bookcases, two of which turned out to mostly contain multiple copies of foreign translations of my books. I usually got copies of each new translation over the past decades and stored them there.

I was touched and in wonder, when for the first time, I opened each one. found my name, usually figured out the title, country, and date.. There were more than eighty. Ten or more foreign editions were at home. I put a sticky note with the book title, city or country where it was published and put each one on the floor.
